Job summary
Provide support to the Operations Manager with key responsibility for managing day-to-day tour issues, crew deployment, equipment management and operational activities. To ensure profitable running of all trips across Southern Africa, including trips for PEAK brands and external clients, and in line with standards and policies laid out by the company.
Who are you?
- Logistics and Equipment Management on a commercial level
- Passion to manage, train & develop tour operations staff
- Excellent communication skills (telephonic, verbal & written) in English and preferably a local language
- High level of computer literacy (particularly Microsoft Office) and ability to work with a reservations system
- Outstanding organizational and administration skills
- Exceptional Customer service skills
- Safety orientated
- Background in travel operations and/or tour leading/guiding
- In-depth knowledge of product, itineraries, destinations, and the adventure travel industry in Southern Africa.
What will you be doing?
- Monitor, Investigate and feedback on Passenger Enjoyment
- Tour crew performance communication & engagement
- Operational Support
- Safety & incident management
- Maintain operational budgets
- Implement and support Responsible Travel initiatives
- Meet branding requirements for trips according to client expectations
- Facilitate smooth communication between the Operations Department and PEAK Tour Crew as well as inter-departments as necessary.
- Duty Phone allocation (24 hours- shared with Operations Manager)
- Operations Staff & Maintenance Assistants Management
